Official Letter No. 78002/CT-THTT dated August 24th, 2020 issued by Hanoi City Tax Department about Guidance on policy for advertising activities on Facebook, Google.
In case the Company incurs expenses of online advertising on Facebook or Google, the expenses could be considered as deductible expenses for CIT purpose if it meeting the following conditions:
- The expense relates to business activities of the Company;
- Having a declaration and a payment voucher of foreign contractor tax as prescribed; and
- Having non-cash payment voucher comply with legal documents on value added tax.
In case the Company authorizes an individual who is an employee in the Company to use his/her credit card to pay for the above service expenses, then the Company pays back via bank transfer from the Company’s account to the individual’s account (credit card opened by the company for individuals at the Bank), if this payment method is clearly stated in the Financial Regulations or Decision on The Company’s authorization to the individual that is also considered as non-cash payment voucher as regulations.
