Official Letter No. 4370/BTC-DNTN dated April 5, 2025 by the Ministry of Finance guiding on business registration procedures in cases of changes to administrative boundaries
Pursuant to Decision No. 571/QĐ-TTg dated March 12, 2025, issued by the Prime Minister on the establishment of a Steering Committee for the reorganization of administrative units at all levels and the development of a two-tier local government model, the Ministry of Finance issues this official dispatch to provide specific guidance on business registration procedures in the event of administrative boundary changes.
(i) Enterprises, household businesses, cooperatives, unions of cooperatives, and cooperative groups shall continue to use their previously issued business registration certificates, household business registration certificates, cooperative registration certificates, union of cooperatives registration certificates, and branch/representative office/business location operation certificates.
(ii) Business registration authorities shall not require enterprises, household businesses, cooperatives, unions of cooperatives, or cooperative groups to update address information solely due to administrative boundary changes.
(iii) In cases where there is a need or other administrative procedures are being carried out, organizations or individuals may update their new address information accordingly.
